The 5th Generation range honours the winemaking endeavours of Grant Burge over five generations while showcasing the exemplary fruit and unrivalled quality produced in our highly acclaimed Barossa region.

SAUVIGNON BLANC The Winemaking The 2018 vintage saw an unusually dry summer and early autumn, coupled with the cool night-time temperatures allowed the vines to produce fruit with exceptional character and flavour while being harvested at lower degrees of sugar ripeness, producing vibrant, balanced, lower alcohol styles.

The Wine The 2018 Grant Burge 5th Generation Sauvignon Blanc is very pale, platinum with green tinges in colour. The bouquet displays intense aromas of tropical fruits like passionfruit, guava, pineapple, accented with sweet floral top-notes and herbaceous lift of Kaffir Lime and sweet basil. The richly flavoured palate is incredibly vibrant with sweet tropical flavours of passionfruit and pineapple, complemented by gooseberry, lychee and sweet basil. This fresh and zesty palate finishes with the mouth-watering zing of sherbet-like natural acidity. The Grant Burge 5th Generation Sauvignon Blanc makes a great accompaniment to fresh Asian cuisine, such as Green Papaya Salad and Spicy Chicken Pad Thai.
