Arran 9 Year Old Small Batch Rum Cask Finish Single Malt Scotch Whisky 700ml

Limited Edition of 1098 Bottles

The Arran distillery, in a style close to Highland whiskies, is distinguished by the diversity of its refining in barrels and the use of forgotten varieties of barley.

Bottled at 50°, this was aged 5 years in Bourbon barrels before finishing for 4 years in Rum barrels.

We find the fruity character, faithful to the typical style of Arran. The influence of rum is felt in the mouth, without however taking over the notes from malt and wood. Powerful and balanced at the same time!

Tasting Notes:

Nose: Fresh fruit salad (Classic Arran nose of apple pears but also banana and pineapple); caramel, vanilla and star anise.

Palate: Retains fruitiness, becoming more tropical (papaya); a slightly spicy mid-palate with cloves and black peppercorn.

Finish: Long and well-rounded finish. The combination of flavours is a nice reflection of the rum casks used.
