Avione Calcium Grit Mix for Birds, Fine, 250g

In the wild, birds eat small rocks, dirt and sand. This is because they do not have teeth to chew their food. Instead this grit sits in their gizzard (part of digestive system). This helps to pummel the food and make it easy to digest.

Commercial bird food is often designed so that it is digested easily, removing the need for grit. You, however, may wish to feed your bird a grit mix if you feel they will benefit from it. They may need it if their diet includes a lot of seeds or other hard foods.
Avico calcium grit is fine and aims to provide grit for digestion whilst supplementing them with calcium.
