5. Ensuring the fan does not make any major humming or any major ticking noises (As ceiling fans are electrical devices that rotate, typically they will make some slight audible noise. This is not considered to be a fault within the fan, as naturally there are many reasons, such as electrical fluctuations that can occur intermittently).
6. The fan may be brand new with cosmetic imperfections such as a scratch or dent.
