Please note: Gift box has slight crease on the top.

This cask strength Rare Breed was distilled in 1997 and imported into Australia by Orlando Wyndham. First released in 1991, and has been described as Wild Turkey’s mid-range bourbons. The mash bill is 75% corn, 13% rye, and 12% malted barley and Rare Breed is made up of 6, 8 12 year old spirits.

Dark amber colour, indicative of the age of the blend, this offers a rich, deep, aromatic nose. Assertive with hints of light oranges, mint, and tones of sweet tobacco reminiscent of grandfather’s pipe-bowl. Complex, full bodied palate, long, warm and nutty , lingering in the mouth with hints of hot peppers and well-toasted whole wheat bread, yet soft despite the power of the alcohol. One to be savoured.

" I think of this as the "Mr. Clean" of bourbons - super smooth despite what is some obvious brawn in the cask strength." - Amanda, Schuster - Distiller
